Turmeric Honey Mustard Dressing

Talk about that PERFECT drizzle. This is it. This turmeric honey mustard dressing is bright, creamy and perfectly balanced. But, most importantly it makes the ultimate drizzle. The honey and the mustard are star crossed lovers. It’s sweet and savory; the spice just tickling your tongue. A dash of vinegar adds acid, and the turmeric adds an earthiness that I never knew could be so good! This dressing can go on anything and everything. Believe me, when you try this you WILL start craving salads.

The Inspiration

The 1810 Restaurant in Old Town Pasadena, California serves my favorite salad of all time: The Old Town Salad. Before this salad, I never liked mustard. Not on burgers, not on sandwiches and not in dressings. But when I tasted this honey mustard vinaigrette for the first time, I forgot about all of that. It was sweet and slightly tart, and it tasted amazing mixed with the ingredients of the salad. I crave this dressing on a weekly basis, in fact I think I will order it tonight… The ingredients are: Argentinian rice, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese, grilled chicken and HONEY MUSTARD DRESSING. I also add avocado because what is a salad without avocado… come on. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying to recreate this salad, or ordering it if you’re in the neighbourhood.

The Pairings for this Turmeric Honey Mustard Dressing

  • Mix it into a green salad topped with feta and tomatoes. Inspired by my favorite salad ever: The Old Town Salad from 1810 Restaurant in Pasadena, California.
  • Massage it into kale and add sunflower seeds.
  • Drizzle it on fish or chicken or steak (anything really).
  • Drizzle it on a buddha bowl filled with fresh vegetables and sweet potatoes.
  • Use it as a dip for crispy roasted potatoes or mini hot dogs, even chicken nuggets!
  • Spread it on a fresh veggie and chicken wrap with hummus.
